On 8 May, as part of its 2007 Budget announcement and following its extensive review of federal film funding, the Federal Government formally confirmed that the Film Finance Corporation, Australian Film Commission and Film Australia would be merged into one new superagency, effective on 1 July 2008. The agency is currently being called the Australian Screen Authority. |
